Captain Clarke Charters is owned and operated by veteran angler Captain Jennifer Clarke. Her parents were avid fly fisherman and they taught her to fish at the age of just four years old. She has stalked bone-fish, permit, tarpon, giant trevally, and world record barracuda from the flats of the Seychelles to the shores of the Yucatan peninsula. She has chased monster trout from the rivers of Tierra del Fuego to Yellowstone National Park.
She discovered Martha’s Vineyard in 1994 and the big striped bass that prowl it’s rock studded water, settling down in what she still considers fishing nirvana. Soon thereafter she began tournament fishing in the area, where she found great success. After winning the largest and richest Striped Bass tournament trail she was featured in several publications including Saltwater Sportsmen, Sport Fishing, and Marlin Magazine. Salwater Sportsmen wrote “She’s not your typical lady angler, in fact she’s not your typical angler by any standards”. When asked what she liked best about her current home her response was “Being in my boat, running in bad water, hunting big stripers, by myself!”.

Her tournament wins netted her valuable sponsorships from boat, motor, and electronics companies. She took the next logical step forward and secured her Captain’s license.
